Airman FC Carl L. Anderson, Jr., 21, of Georgetown, SC, was killed near Mosul, Iraq on August 29, 2004.

Anderson was deployed with the 732nd Expeditionary Mission Support Group, and he died as a result of enemy action, after his convoy hit a roadside bomb.  He was assigned to the 3rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, where he served as a transportation operator.

Anderson was a 2001 graduate of Georgetown High School.
